Rosanna Arquette
Biography
Rosanna Arquette is an American actress who was born in New York City into a family of performers and has worked in film and television since 1977. An early part came in Blake Edwards's S.O.B. (1981), and she earned an Emmy nomination for the television movie The Executioner's Song (1982). John Sayles gave her a first leading role in Baby It's You (1983), and she won a BAFTA Award for best supporting actress for Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), the film in which she starred. Silverado and Martin Scorsese's After Hours followed, both in 1985, then a move to Europe for Luc Besson's The Big Blue (1988) and a part in Scorsese's New York Stories (1989). Among her later films are Crash (1996), The Whole Nine Yards (2000), Joe Dirt (2001) and Pulp Fiction (1994). She has also directed documentaries, including Searching for Debra Winger (2002) and, later, All We Are Saying (2005), and appeared on television in The L Word.
