Plot summary
Charli xcx is at the height of her fame after her album Brat, but as she prepares for her arena tour debut, her label Atlantic Records forces her to continue promoting the album and its brand deals. She balks at a launch event for a Brat credit card from a failing bank and refuses to post about it. Executive Tammy Pitman licenses an Amazon Music concert film about the tour, directed by Johannes Godwin, a filmmaker whose work Charli finds objectifying. He insists on watching rehearsals and begins to take creative control, sanitizing the original tour concept and clashing with Charli's creative director Celeste. With album promotion, rehearsals, and Johannes's disrespect all weighing on her, she abruptly leaves for Ibiza on a trip her assistant had booked without asking.
