Michael Gross
Biography
Michael Gross is an American actor of television, film and stage who became familiar to viewers as Steven Keaton on the sitcom Family Ties from 1982 to 1989 and as the survivalist Burt Gummer in the Tremors franchise. Born in Chicago, he is the only actor to appear in every Tremors film and the television show, playing Gummer across 30 years, from Tremors (1990) to Tremors: Shrieker Island (2020), and his work in Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001) won him a Best Actor award from the DVD Exclusive Awards. His television credits include Boston Legal, How I Met Your Mother, Batman Beyond, ER, Parks and Recreation and Law and Order with its spin-offs SVU and Criminal Intent, and he played River Baldwin on The Young and the Restless from 2008 to 2009. On Broadway he originated the role of Greta in Bent in 1979.
