Plot summary
At the North Pole, Santa Claus has died and his son Nick Kringle is struggling to complete the training that would make him the next Santa. His sister Noelle, who is in charge of Christmas spirit, supports him and suggests he take a weekend off to rest. Nick leaves with the reindeer, and when the reindeer return without him, the elf elders install their cousin Gabriel, the family tech support, as Santa in his place. Noelle believes Nick has gone to Phoenix, Arizona, and she sets out by sleigh with her old nanny, Polly, to find him.
