Hijacked: Flight 285 (1996) on Netflix

Plot summary

A convicted murderer is flown from Phoenix to Dallas on a regular passenger flight, escorted by marshals. Two of his aides are on the same jet, booked as ordinary passengers among the people around them. Shortly after takeoff they take control of the aircraft and free him. The man they freed then sets his terms for the flight: twenty million dollars in bonds, delivered to him once the plane is on the ground. Weather, a mechanical failure or a passenger taken ill will not move him from that price.
