Biography

Jeff Fahey is an American actor whose route to the screen ran through dance and the stage. He was born in Olean, New York, and grew up in Buffalo, and a scholarship took him to the Joffrey Ballet School at 25; he then performed in theaters around the United States and on Broadway, and his first steady television work was as Gary Corelli in the serial One Life to Live. Silverado gave him his first major film part in 1985, and he went on to play Duane Duke in Psycho III (1986), Impulse (1990) and White Hunter Black Heart (1990). The Lawnmower Man (1992), the pilot Frank Lapidus on Lost, and Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror (2007), Machete (2010) and Alita: Battle Angel (2019) are among his notable credits. He also appeared on the London stage in Twelve Angry Men and on the tour of The Best Man.
