Plot summary
In Antwerp, Paula, a documentarian who once studied with Vera, asks the copywriter Henry to write the script for a film about Vera Kall, while she travels to Münster to start shooting. Vera, nineteen, had cycled home through the night, left her bicycle at the farm and let herself quietly in by the kitchen door, where a blow to the head knocked her to the floor before she could see that she was not alone. Her father Jacob is convicted of her murder and imprisoned. Paula and Henry set out to establish what became of Vera and where her body went.
