Plot summary
Amanda Foster works as a detective in Los Angeles, and she has had little luck lately when she is handed a protection assignment. Nick Constantine is a mobster who is set to testify for the state, and he needs guarding from the organization he is due to speak against. The night the assignment begins, an earthquake shakes the city apart. Amanda and Nick have to cross the wrecked streets, with assassins and police officers on the take pursuing them.
