Plot summary
Don and Nancy are married, their relationship strained, and they argue as they set out on a vacation to a casino. Don is a former marine who runs a website for clothes and materials. On a dark road their car is struck twice by another vehicle, leaving the couple stranded. Nancy calls for help, and Sheriff Cleveland, who is not friendly, drives them to a motel called the Royal Vista, saying their car will be towed the next morning. A strange receptionist checks them in. Screams and noises from the room beside theirs keep the tired couple from sleeping, and Don asks the people next door to be quiet.
