Biography
Anna Faris is an American actress, comedian, and producer who built her career on comedy after growing up in Edmonds, Washington, where her parents enrolled her in drama classes and she made her first professional stage appearance at nine. Her breakout came as Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie (2000), a role she returned to in several sequels, and she moved between broad comedy and smaller films such as Lost in Translation (2003), Just Friends (2005), Smiley Face (2007) and The House Bunny (2008), which she also produced. She played Erica in the final season of Friends and starred as Christy Plunkett in the sitcom Mom from 2013 to 2021, earning nominations for a Prism Award and two People's Choice Awards. Her voice work includes Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) and the Alvin and the Chipmunks films, and she created the podcast Unqualified and wrote a bestselling memoir of the same name.
