Plot summary
On Valentine's Day, Ray Hennessey attacks Dee-Dee and Jimmy at a lovers' lane with a steel hook. The two get away, and in the car beside theirs they find Harriet and Ward dead. Psychiatrist Jack Grefe arrives with Sheriff Tom Anderson, Harriet's husband. Ray, a patient of Jack's who was obsessed with Harriet, is caught and locked in an institution for the criminally insane, where he gains the nickname The Hook. Years later, his weapon in hand, he escapes.
