Biography
An American actor, singer, and songwriter, Jesse McCartney started as a child performer, appearing in community musicals at seven and touring in The King and I at ten. Born in New York City in 1987, he joined the boy band Dream Street from 1999 to 2002. On television, he played Adam Chandler Jr. on All My Children from 1998 to 2001 and earned two Young Artist Awards plus two Daytime Emmy nominations. His solo music career took off with the 2004 album Beautiful Soul, and he later co-wrote Bleeding Love, which earned a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year in 2009. As a voice actor, he has been heard as Theodore in the Alvin and the Chipmunks films (2007 to 2015), JoJo McDodd in the 2008 film Horton Hears a Who!, and Terence in the Tinker Bell series. His screen credits also include Keith (2008) and Chernobyl Diaries (2012).
