Plot summary
Shelley Darlingson grew up in an orphanage and has been happy living at the Playboy Mansion as a Bunny and aspiring Playmate. A note arrives the morning after her 27th birthday, asking her to pack and leave, and with nowhere to go she searches for a new home. She tries the Phi Iota Mu house but is not a student there, and the house mothers will not have her. At Zeta Alpha Zeta she meets seven dowdy, socially awkward members whose sorority will be shut down unless thirty new pledges join. Once they see how easily she draws boys, they take her in as house mother, hoping her lessons in makeup and men can save the house. Shelley also meets Oliver, an altruistic young man who manages a retirement home.
