Plot summary
Jane is a commercial actress in Los Angeles who smokes marijuana often. One day she eats a plate of her roommate's cupcakes, which were meant for a science fiction convention, and realizes they are laced with cannabis. High and getting higher, she remembers the day's obligations: an audition, an unpaid electric bill and several hundred dollars she owes her dealer. He threatens to seize her furniture unless she brings the money that afternoon to a hemp festival at Venice Beach. She begins making cannabis butter to replace the cupcakes, but calls from her agent and her boyfriend distract her and the butter burns. She decides to sell her own government-issued marijuana instead, and at her audition she offers it to another actress and to the casting director.
