Plot summary
At Hell House, teenager Megan Voorhees becomes possessed by Hugh Kane, the mansion's former owner, and an exorcism performed by Fathers McFeely and Harris goes wrong. A year later, Cindy Campbell, Ray Wilkins, Brenda and Shorty Meeks are at college, trying to move past what happened to them. Buddy takes an interest in Cindy, and Ray is still uncertain about his sexuality. Professor Oldman and his paraplegic assistant Dwight Hartman intend to investigate Hell House's paranormal activity, and they recruit the group for what they call a sleep paralysis experiment. Cindy reaches the mansion and meets a parrot named Polly and Hanson, a caretaker with a malformed hand. Theo later joins the group, and dinner is served, but Hanson's handling of it ruins everyone's appetite.
