Plot summary
Ghostface attacks teenager Tuesday Campbell while she is watching a horror spoof. Her older half-sister Sara and Sara's boyfriend Jack Kirsch hear that she has been hospitalized and link the assault to a 2000 killing spree. They call on Sara's estranged mother, Cindy Campbell, a paranoid recluse who suspects the killer is trying to draw her out, and she refuses to help. Tuesday's schoolmates learn of the attack too: twins Brad and Dei, Brad's girlfriend Elle, and Jess, the sheriff's son. Brenda Meeks, Dei and Brad's mother, now goes by Ma and attends church with her husband Ray Wilkins, while her brother Shorty joins the group. The group reasons that the killer is bringing back old targets while adding new ones.
