Biography

Josh Gad is an American actor, singer and comedian whose career runs across Broadway, film and television. Born in Hollywood, Florida, he studied drama at the Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts and replaced Dan Fogler in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Broadway. His breakthrough came in the Broadway musical comedy The Book of Mormon opposite Andrew Rannells, which brought him a Grammy Award and a Tony Award nomination. He voiced Olaf in Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019), played LeFou in Beauty and the Beast (2017), and appeared in 21 (2008), Love & Other Drugs (2010), The Internship (2013), The Wedding Ringer (2015), Pixels (2015), Marshall (2017) and Murder on the Orient Express (2017). On television he reported for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, co-created and starred in 1600 Penn, and later led Avenue 5 and Central Park.
