Biography

Jane Krakowski is an American actress and singer who grew up in Parsippany, New Jersey, immersed in the local theater scene. She made her feature debut at 14 as Cousin Vicki in National Lampoon's Vacation (1983). In 1984 she began playing T.R. Kendall on the NBC soap Search for Tomorrow, and at 18 she originated Dinah in Starlight Express, a 1987 Broadway production. She earned a Tony nomination for Grand Hotel and won a Tony for her featured performance in the revival of Nine (2003). From 1997 to 2002 she played Elaine Vassal on Ally McBeal, and from 2006 to 2013 she played Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock, receiving four Emmy nominations. She later played Jacqueline White on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, earning a fifth Emmy nomination. Her other stage work includes an Olivier Award for Guys and Dolls and a Tony-nominated turn in She Loves Me (2016). She appeared as Betty Rubble in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000).
