Biography

Craig Sheffer is an American film and television actor who began in school plays and commercials before his first film role in Voyage of the Rock Aliens (1984). He appeared on One Life to Live and The Hamptons, then took stage work in Torch Song Trilogy. Early screen credits include That Was Then... This Is Now (1985), Fire with Fire (1986), Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), and Nightbreed (1990). He starred as Norman Maclean in the Oscar-winning A River Runs Through It (1992), directed by Robert Redford, and as quarterback Joe Kane in The Program (1993). Other films include Fire in the Sky (1993), Sleep with Me (1994), Head Above Water (1996), and Hellraiser: Inferno. On television he played Keith Scott on One Tree Hill for three seasons. He directed American Crude, released straight to DVD in 2008, and later appeared in Code of Honor (2016). In 2021, he was cast as Richard Nixon on American Horror Story: Double Feature.
