Dean Cameron
Biography
American actor and musician Dean Cameron was born on December 25, 1962 in Morrison, Illinois, and spent his childhood in Oklahoma. He broke through as Chainsaw Gremp in the Mark Harmon comedy Summer School (1987). He later appeared as Dave Marshak in Ski School (1991) and Ski School 2 (1994) and played a pizza delivery worker in Men at Work (1990). On television he had lead roles in short-lived series such as Spencer, Fast Times, They Came from Outer Space and Mister Sterling, and he guest starred on ALF, ER, Will & Grace, Psych and Shameless. Cameron wrote the two-person stage show The Nigerian Spam Scam Scam, which he performs with Victor Isaac; the piece played the Edinburgh Fringe in 2004 and 2005. He has also directed stage and music video projects, co-wrote songs for Steel Panther, and done voice work for animated series including Regular Show and We Bare Bears.

Cameron performs a two-person show, The Nigerian Spam Scam Scam, with actor Victor Isaac, reading from letters Cameron exchanged over 11 months with a Nigerian 419 scammer. It played the Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival in 2004 and 2005.
Behind the camera
At the Sacred Fools Theater Company in Los Angeles, California, Cameron took on directing and choreography duties for Bukowsical, a late night musical theater parody. He also directed videos for the heavy metal band Steel Panther.
A change of course
Asked by a girl if he played anything, Cameron fibbed that the banjo was his instrument. He then told her the guitar was another, so he had to learn it fast, spending six months on "Stairway to Heaven" with a friend before switching to bass in the 1980s.
