Leigh Taylor-Young

Leigh Taylor-Young is an American actress whose work spans stage, screen, and television. Born in Washington, D.C., and educated at a Detroit high school, she left Northwestern University before graduating and made her Broadway debut in 3 Bags Full in 1966. That same year she landed her first big break as Rachel Welles in the primetime soap Peyton Place. Her film debut came opposite Peter Sellers in I Love You, Alice B. Toklas! (1968), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Female Newcomer. She went on to appear in The Horsemen (1971), The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight (1971), and Soylent Green (1973). Other film credits include Looker (1981), Secret Admirer (1985), and Honeymoon Academy. On television, she played Kimberly Cryder on Dallas from 1987 to 1989 and won an Emmy for Picket Fences in 1994. She also starred in Beckett's Catastrophe at the Edinburgh International Festival in 1984.
