Plot summary

Fans of heavy metal and critics arrive at Los Angeles International Airport for Slade Craven's farewell concert, played aboard a TransContinental Airlines Boeing 747 flying from Los Angeles to Toronto. News spreads that the FAA has received threats about permitting the concert, while the internet site Z-Web-TV prepares to broadcast the show, sending an anchor and a cameraman aboard. The fans board, then Craven and his band; the crew runs its pre-flight checks and the audience ignores the safety demonstration. In the meantime, FBI agent Kate Hayden is on the trail of Nick Watts, a computer hacker who has broken into the concert's live feed. Craven and his band open the set with their hits and stage antics. A gunman aboard then turns the flight into a hijacking.
