Plot summary
Della Myers shares a large suburban house with her abusive husband, Kenneth, and their twin children. Kenneth tells her the twins get all her attention while the house and her looks get none. That evening she goes to the mall for wrapping paper. The lot is full, and an old car is occupying two spaces, so she leaves a note on its windshield. When the mall closes, that car pulls up behind hers and four young men, Chuckie, Huey, Vingh and Tomás, threaten her. A mall security guard who comes to her aid is shot. Della gets her truck started and drives off, the gang in pursuit, until she crashes at a construction site beside a forest.
