Plot summary
Sarah O'Rourke rides a westbound stagecoach in handcuffs, and Marshal Bill Speakes means to see her hanged at the end of the line. The con man Jack Cooper shares the coach, bound for a town full of marks, along with Mamie and Zeb Hollister. Three highwaymen attack. The stage runs down one of them; the leader shoots the driver; the coach races on with a bandit clinging to the back. Sarah grabs that bandit's revolver and helps Speakes kill him, and Speakes then shoots the leader. Sarah turns the marshal's gun on him and opens the strongbox, but before she can leave with the money Jack takes the gun and the cash and rides for town.
