Plot summary
A group of passengers who have overcome their fear of flying mark the achievement with a flight together, circling over Seattle-Tacoma International Airport aboard TransCon Flight 110. Midair, a Czech terrorist seizes the cabin and declares that the cargo bay holds a chemical weapon packed with toxins, showing them the detonator. He forces his way to the cockpit and orders the captain to land at Seattle or another nearby field; the captain answers that the weather rules out a landing at Seattle and tells him to wait for it to clear or use the bomb. Among those aboard are Martin Messerman, an aerospace engineer, and a fellow passenger, Jessica.
