Paul Picerni
Biography
Paul Picerni was an American actor who worked in film and television, best remembered as Federal Agent Lee Hobson, Eliot Ness's second-in-command on The Untouchables. Born in New York City and raised in Corona, Queens, he studied drama at Loyola University before serving with the Army Air Forces in World War II. He began his screen career in military pictures, playing a bombardier in Twelve O'Clock High (1949), which led to a Warner Brothers contract and parts such as the hero of House of Wax (1953). He later appeared with Audie Murphy in To Hell and Back (1955). Joining The Untouchables in 1960, he remained for the rest of its run, and he also played Ed Miller on O'Hara, U.S. Treasury and Dan Garrett on The Young Marrieds. He published an autobiography, Steps to Stardom, in 2007.
