Biography

Kevin Durand is a Canadian actor from Thunder Bay, Ontario, whose first break came with Mystery, Alaska (1999). He has often played characters on both sides of law enforcement, with television roles including Joshua in Dark Angel, Martin Keamy in Lost, Vasiliy Fet in The Strain, and Frederick Gideon in Locke & Key. His film work includes Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Barry Burton in Resident Evil: Retribution (2012), Gabriel in Legion (2010), Little John in Robin Hood (2010), and Proximus Caesar in the film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024). He also appeared as Carlos in The Butterfly Effect (2004), Booth in Walking Tall (2004), Red in Wild Hogs (2007), Tucker in 3:10 to Yuma (2007), and Officer Caruso in Fruitvale Station (2013). He earned a 2012 Genie nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Citizen Gangster (2011). He has been developing The Hockey Player, his directorial and screenwriting debut, co-written with Adam MacDonald.
