Biography

Jason Clarke is an Australian actor, born in Winton, Queensland, who turned to acting after starting a law degree in 1987 and trained at the Sydney Actor's Studio and the Victorian College of the Arts, graduating in 1994. He built a long resume in Australian television before his role as Tommy Caffee in the Showtime series Brotherhood, and he became known for playing antagonists. His films include Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), Death Race (2008), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Lawless (2012), The Great Gatsby (2013), White House Down (2013), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), Terminator Genisys (2015), Everest (2015), Mudbound (2017), First Man (2018), Pet Sematary (2019) and Oppenheimer (2023). He also starred as Jerry West in the HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and appeared in The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (2023).
