Plot summary
Gina is blind and depends on her husband James for daily life, a dependence he admits makes him feel special. The couple are trying for a baby while Gina prepares for a cornea transplant that could restore sight in one eye. The operation succeeds, and she embraces her new independence, though the change takes a toll on their intimacy. To put the spark back, James books a holiday to Spain, promising the same hotel room as their honeymoon. As Gina grows more confident abroad, James struggles to connect with a wife who no longer depends on him, and he grows possessive of her.
