Jai Courtney
Biography
Jai Courtney is an Australian actor who began picking up small film and television roles as a teenager and later studied acting, graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2008. He was born in Sydney. Early screen work included the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and he moved into Hollywood features with Jack Reacher (2012) and A Good Day to Die Hard (2013), playing John McClane's son. He became known for Eric Coulter in the Divergent series (2014 to 2015), Kyle Reese in Terminator Genisys (2015) and the villain Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad (2016) and The Suicide Squad (2021). Other credits include I, Frankenstein (2014), Unbroken (2014), Felony (2014), The Water Diviner (2014), Buffaloed (2020), Storm Boy (2019), 100% Wolf (2020), Honest Thief (2020), Black Site (2022) and Dangerous Animals (2025). He played the title role in Melbourne Theatre Company's Macbeth (2017) and hosted The Summit.
