Did you know?!

  1. Getting ready for a role

Castellaneta's Homer Simpson voice began as a loose Walter Matthau impression, but he could not sustain it through recording sessions of nine to ten hours, so he dropped the voice down and made it more versatile and humorous during the second and third season.

  2. Getting ready for a role

Castellaneta based Krusty the Clown's raspy voice on Chicago television's Bob Bell, who portrayed WGN-TV's Bozo the Clown from 1960 to 1984.
