Plot summary
On a ship caught in a thunderstorm, Red Pirate Ron and his crew of red pirates hunt the Lost Treasure of the Spanish Mane, and Ron speaks a language only his parrot Stan understands. Tom sails on Ron's side; Jerry, on no side at all, is a stowaway aboard the same ship. Tom is punished for slacking and tossed about, then gets angry at Jerry, thinking the trouble is his fault, and chases him. The treasure map is carried aboard by a wave, and Tom hides it. The captain of the Spanish Mane, Don Diego de Clippershears, appears as a ghost and warns that the map must return to its bottle by sunset or a curse will begin. The bottle is swept off the ship.
