Biography

Christopher Lambert, an American actor and film producer, started out in supporting parts in French films and became internationally known for playing Tarzan in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984). Born in Great Neck, New York, and raised in Geneva, he took the César Award for Best Actor for Subway (1985). His best-known part came as Connor MacLeod in Highlander (1986) and the sequels that followed, among them Highlander II: The Quickening (1991) and Highlander: Endgame (2000). He also appeared in Mortal Kombat (1995) as Raiden, Fortress (1992), Knight Moves (1992), Nirvana (1997), Resurrection (1999), White Material (2009), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011), 10 Days in a Madhouse (2015), and Bel Canto (2018). He was an executive producer on Nine Months (1995) and has written two novels.
