Biography

Richard Lynch was an American actor known for playing villains in films and on television. Born in Brooklyn, he served four years in the Marine Corps before training at The Actors Studio and the HB Studio, and his career ran to more than 160 film and television appearances. He made his film debut in Scarecrow (1973) and went on to appear in The Seven-Ups (1973), God Told Me To (1976), The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982), Invasion U.S.A. (1985), Little Nikita (1988), Bad Dreams (1988), Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge (1991) and Halloween (2007). His role as King Cromwell in The Sword and the Sorcerer brought him a 1982 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor. He played Wolfe in Battlestar Galactica and Commander Xaviar in Galactica 1980, starred in The Phoenix, and acted on and off Broadway. He also played saxophone, guitar, piano and flute.
