Michelle Bauer
Biography
Michelle Bauer is an American actress who became one of the better-known B-movie scream queens of the late 1980s. Born in Montebello and raised in Simi Valley, California, she was Penthouse's Pet of the Month for July 1981, a booking that brought acting jobs on the Playboy Channel and an audition with director Fred Olen Ray. Under the alias Pia Snow, she took the lead in Café Flesh (1982) and appeared in further adult features, among them Bad Girls (1981) and Nightdreams (1981). She made her first B movie, The Tomb (1986), for Ray, and went on to appear in many of his productions. Her other collaborators included cult directors such as David DeCoteau, Jesús Franco and Zalman King, and she acted alongside genre performers including Sybil Danning, Monique Gabrielle, Julie Strain and George Kennedy. A 2011 documentary, Screaming in High Heels, focused on her career, and a 2020 reunion short paired her again with Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens.
