Plot summary
King Titus Cromwell lands on Tomb Island and awakens Xusia of Delos, a sorcerer whose black magic lets him crush the army of his rival, King Richard of Ehdan. Cromwell stabs the sorcerer and throws him from a cliff, then executes Richard. Richard's youngest son Talon escapes with a three-bladed sword and his father's charge to avenge the family, but arrives too late to save his mother and brother at the river. Eleven years later Talon works as a mercenary, Cromwell rules an expanded empire, and Mikah leads a rebellion in Ehdan. Mikah's sister Alana finds Talon and asks him to free her brother from Cromwell's prison and help the rebels.
