Peter Brocco
Biography
Peter Brocco was an American stage and screen actor whose career spanned more than 60 years and over 300 credits. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he acted with the Walter Hampton Players and made his Broadway debut in Centuries (1927); he also performed in The Merry Wives of Windsor (1938). On television he appeared three times on Adventures of Superman, twice on Combat! in 1964 and 1966, and as the Organian council member Claymare in the Star Trek episode Errand of Mercy, and he played Peter the Waiter in eight episodes of The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show during its 1955 to 1956 season. His films included Spartacus (1960) and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), an Academy Award winner, in which he played the patient Colonel Matterson. In 1983 he appeared in the miniseries The Winds of War. He died in 1992.
