Plot summary
A civilian researcher and inventor, Commando Cody wears a streamlined helmet and a leather flying jacket carrying an atomic-powered rocket backpack, and he has a rocket ship that can reach the Moon. With the scientists Joan Gilbert and Ted Richards, he develops that flying suit and a rocket for the trip. When a mysterious force wipes out American military bases and industrial complexes, government security head Henderson suspects an atomic ray from the Moon, and Cody concludes the attacks come from there. He flies to the Moon and meets Retik, its ruler, who announces that he will conquer Earth and move the Moon's population here with spaceships and atomic weapons. A lunar agent, Krog, and human henchmen under Graber and Daly use lunarium-powered ray cannons against defense forces.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Radar Men from the Moon (1952)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- In 1989 the serial became the first shorts ever shown by the cult series Mystery Science Theater 3000: the first eight-and-a-half chapters were lampooned, with only half of the ninth shown because, in-show, "the film broke".
- For close-up flying shots, George Wallace was suspended in mid-air above a sound stage on a horizontal board with the rocket suit's jacket closed around it and a rear projection screen behind him, and he performed his own take-offs by jumping onto a springboard.
- Cody's laboratory in the serial was actually a Republic Pictures office building, with a prop "Cody Laboratories" sign added to its exterior to pass it off as the character's own facility.
