Martin Garralaga
Biography
Martin Garralaga was a Spanish actor whose screen career stretched from the 1930s into the 1960s. He was born in Barcelona and died in 1981. He first arrived in the United States in April 1924, sailing on the Catherine from Santo Domingo to San Juan. Over his career he took on more than two hundred parts in movies and on television, and he was probably best known for playing Pancho in the early Cisco Kid movies. On the small screen he played Ramirez in a 1958 episode of the CBS western The Texan, titled A Tree for Planting, which centered on a Mexican farmer whose peach orchards were threatened by cattle ranchers. In 1954 he was Father Mariano, a mission priest, in The Saint's Portrait, an episode of the syndicated anthology Death Valley Days hosted by Stanley Andrews. The following year he appeared as Mr. Delgado in the Cheyenne episode Border Showdown.
