William Haade
Biography
William Haade was an American film actor whose screen credits ran to more than 250 films from 1937 to 1957. Born in New York City and raised in Manhattan, he worked as a construction boss until a technical advisor recommended him to Norman Bel Geddes, who was looking for a fresh face for the lead in the Broadway play Iron Men (1936). Haade did not take the offer seriously at first, but he eventually accepted and appeared in the production. Motion picture scouts were impressed with his stage work and arranged screen tests, and the result was a contract with Warner Bros. He went on to work steadily in films for two decades. Haade died in 1966.
