Plot summary
Jane Travers owns a wagon line and wants her next caravan protected from robbers, so she asks Hopalong Cassidy for help. Two men, Stephen Westcott and Ed Martin, are scheming to put her out of business; their purpose is to control the wagon trains that travel west, and they are out to stop her. Cassidy, who goes by Hoppy, has California and Lucky at his side, along with the Bar 20 boys, and he, California and Lucky mean to keep the scheme from succeeding. Westcott and Martin have men of their own in the field, and some of them are dressed as soldiers to escort the caravan.
