John Corbett

Biography

John Corbett is an American actor and singer who grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia, and studied acting at Cerritos College before landing his first role in 1988 on The Wonder Years. He became known for playing Chris Stevens on Northern Exposure from 1990 to 1995, earning Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, and Aidan Shaw on Sex and the City and later And Just Like That, plus Max Gregson on United States of Tara and Seth Holt on Parenthood. His film work includes My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002) and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016), Raising Helen (2004), The Messengers (2007), Ramona and Beezus (2010) and the To All the Boys trilogy. He has released two country albums, John Corbett (2006) and Leaving Nothin' Behind (2013).

A first
Corbett's album had one single, "Good to Go". It entered the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at No. 48, the best debut ever for a new artist on an independent label, and later reached No. 43.
A role that slipped away
In March 2013, Corbett played Special Agent Roy Haines in two episodes of the CBS drama NCIS: Los Angeles. The episodes were seen as a planted pilot for a spin-off about his character, though it was never made.
Beyond film
Corbett starred in the 1993 music video for the Scorpions single "Woman," directed by Jeff Richter and opposite Karina Lombard.
