Plot summary
Both of Toula Portokalos-Miller's workplaces, her travel agency and the family dry cleaning business, have shut down, so she now works at the family restaurant her father runs. Her husband Ian is principal of the high school their teenage daughter Paris attends. Paris applies to colleges across the country, tired of a family that interferes in her life. The strain shows in Ian and Toula's marriage, which centers on her urge to fix her family's troubles. Gus, her father, believes he descends from Alexander the Great and wants an online ancestry site to confirm it. Sorting through his records, he finds that his marriage to Maria was never valid because a priest never signed the certificate. That priest cannot sign now, but he offers to perform a new ceremony.
