November Christmas (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Vanessa Marks is eight and seriously ill, and she has never seen snow. Her father Tom gives her a snow globe with a girl inside holding another globe, and Vanessa wishes she could see real snow at Christmas. Fearing she may not reach December, Tom asks Jess Sanford, a neighboring farmer, for pumpkins in August. Jess, whose own son died years ago, works out what Tom is planning and helps. He and an old friend leave a truckload of pumpkins on the Marks porch, and Vanessa wants a Halloween party. Beth thinks it is too early, but Tom agrees, and Vanessa and her brother Gordon plan their costumes while Tammy, a young waitress Vanessa has befriended, brings the town's children to the house.
