Plot summary
Detective Dave Kominek is investigating a series of killings along the I-5 highway corridor, which passes through California, Washington and Oregon. Fourteen people are suspected of having been murdered, and there have been numerous sexual assaults at points up and down that route. At first the killings appear to be separate and unrelated. Studying the cases, Kominek finds similarities among them and becomes determined to prove that one man is behind all of them. The manhunt lasts a year. More victims come to light as the case unfolds.
