Plot summary
Michael Spurlock trades a corporate sales career for the ministry, and his first assignment as a pastor is All Saints, a country church in Smyrna, Tennessee, with a dozen members. The church comes with a catch: he must close its doors for good and sell the land, which developers want. The congregation mourns, and Michael and his wife Aimee look ahead to an established church where the family can put down roots. Then the church hesitantly begins welcoming Karen refugees from Burma, former farmers seeking a fresh start in America. Michael senses a new calling and an improbable mission alongside them.
