Dash Mihok
Biography
Dash Mihok is an American actor who began with guest roles on New York series such as Law & Order and NYPD Blue, and he grew up in Greenwich Village as the son of theater actors. He made his film debut in 1994 in Black is White, and his breakout came as Benvolio in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet (1996), a part he won after several auditions. He worked with Terrence Malick on The Thin Red Line (1998), which won a 1999 Satellite Award for its ensemble. He later played Detective Martin Soap in Punisher: War Zone (2008). From 2013 to 2020 he co-starred as Brendan Bunchy Donovan in the Showtime drama Ray Donovan, and he directed an episode of the show in 2019. He has also directed short films and performs in the band Diz and the Fam. He won a best actor prize at the 2017 Beverly Hills Film Festival for The Girl Who Invented Kissing.

Big break
Mihok's breakout role came in Romeo + Juliet, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. He studied Shakespeare and went through five audition sessions with director Baz Luhrmann before he landed the part of Benvolio.
