Plot summary
Mickey Donovan is on the run. Ray Donovan is determined to find him and stop him. The Donovans are drawn back to Boston to face their past. Ray's brothers Terry, Bunchy and Daryll are still fighting the violent upbringing they share, and the family's love for one another keeps them in the fight. An earlier era shows Mickey, Ray, Jim Sullivan, Abby and Sean Walker as young people, and the events that shaped Ray come to light.
