Plot summary
Owen Match, a tennis pro nicknamed Game Set, teaches at the Fountain Club until his bad decisions cost him the position. He lands at a public recreation center, where he joins a staff of misfit tennis pros and reports to Sherry, a single mother who says she does not date tennis pros. Sherry's son Jake is a goth teenager who practices the sport in secret. Owen gets to know his new colleagues and the players at the center while he tries to win Sherry over. Then Charles, his old boss at the Fountain Club, challenges the recreation center to the annual Combo Cup tournament.
