Plot summary
Alfie Elkins, a Cockney limo driver in Manhattan, sleeps with a string of women and never grows attached to any of them. Julie, a single mother, and Dorie, who is unhappily married, are the two he sees on a casual basis. When Dorie wants more than an occasional night, he stops calling her. Marlon, the friend he drives with, needs to win back his ex Lonette before the two men can start a company. Alfie goes to Lonette's bar to speak up for him, drinks too much, and sleeps with her. He spends the following day dreading that Marlon has found out.
